A large hearth broke out at an oil refinery in northwestern Iran on Saturday, the semi-official Fars Information Company reported.
The refinery is close to the town of Tabriz in East Azerbaijan Province.
“The firefighting remains to be occurring and the scale and depth of the fireplace made it tough to extinguish,” Fars reported.
The reason for the accident is underneath investigation, Fars added.
“Proper now, 25 hearth engines on the web site are extinguishing the fireplace,” Mohammad Baqer Hanbar, director common of disaster administration of East Azerbaijan Governorate, mentioned as cited by Fars.
“To date, there was one firefighter injured on this incident who suffered from smoke inhalation, and the particular person is in steady situation,” Fars mentioned citing Hanbar.
